CRAYONS!!!

We all had an incredibly great time with Krista's pose, and the work shows it. We set her down on the floor giving us all a point of view that was completely different from when our models are four feet up on a stage! This allowed our members to experiment with all sorts of things, from drawing with Crayolas, to painting well past the pictorial plane, thus requiring an addition to the panel! October's Thursday night sessions start with Bill as a Victorian Gentleman for 2 weeks, followed with Carmella as our Steampunk Lolita!

Shiver me timbers! Tis a pirate's life for me!

We were all Argh Matey-ing with new guild member Karen today as we got to draw Rene in her fantastic Pirate get-up. She got extra booty by serving double duty for our inaugural kids drawing session. The kids themselves had a blast as well, and are eager for more. The next kids session will be Sunday, October 26th from 3:30-5:30pm with Carmella as Link from the Legend of Zelda!

Meow, meow meow meow-meow, meow?

Nyan Cat music? Imagine that for 3 hours! Lucy's incredible tomcat outfit created the absolutely PURR-fect character to draw and paint. (The management apologizes for the less than witty pun, those responsible have been sacked)

Lest I forget. . .

Virgil taught us that while difficult (especially when you are clearly cast wrong) and not an easy field to break into, being a Standardized Patient can be extremely rewarding financially when re-enacting symptoms from certain ailments that could require, say, a delicate touch?

Et tu, Brute?

Though it weren't March 15th, we still had fun today re-enacting scenes from antiquity as Bill conjured up a fantastic Caesar. Also, with a slight twist of the headgear we had our own little Bacchanalia, of course without the actual wine, festivity and overall debauchery (except from the decadent doughnuts courtesy of new Guild Member Hiram!)

Opening Exhibition & Artist Statement - David Kamper

The opening reception for American MADE in Japan was a resounding success. Over 100 people attended and the spectacular light box installation elicited the response we were hoping for. The work will be up until September 29th, so try and get down to view it.
