HEY ! ! !

Everyone who has ever played the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time knows that word, as the little fairy Navi exclaims it average 8 billion times per game! We welcomed new guild member Paul as Carmella took our Super Hero Sunday sessions out for the year with a bang as the Hero of Time: aka the Elf in Green aka wielder of the Master Sword aka embodiment of the Triforce of Courage: LINK! It was a really fun day and having our drawing horse stand in for Epona was just too perfect. Speaking of Triforce of Courage, we had our second kid's sessions immediately after and the kids had a blast. Looking forward to next year's Hero sessions, we will be changing days and times, so be on the look out on the facebook and the meetup over by there. Thanks to all participants in our Sunday sessions for a great 6 months. Thursday night long pose have 4 sessions left for the year so if you got the urge to draw come on down for those.

. . .and the rest is rust and stardust.

Carmella absolutely wowed us in her Steampunk Lolita outfit and the work shows it. She actually will join us once again this Sunday for LINK from the Legend of Zelda. We are slowly winding down out drawing sessions for the year as we prepare for our extraordinary Holiday Art Extravaganza staring 18 local artists! More to come on that soon!

What's scarier than skydiving?

If you answered DRAWING, you would be right! We had a fun time hosting the Events & Adventures group as they took a bold step into learning to draw the figure. Rene did a fantastic job once again in her Twisted Fairy get up as we walked our guests through the way to not only draw gestures in charcoal but make a finished oil pastel drawing! Everyone had a good time and by the end of the evening some really impressive work came out. We artists sometimes take for granted that what we do can be intimidating to many people. Paupers Art Guild is thrilled that everyone can enjoy the process of creating art. It always feels good to accomplish that, even if its just drawing the socks or the hidden teddy bear!

HOLY ITCHING THORNBUSH BATMAN ! ! !

Yes old chum, it is indeed a precarious position that we are in, for you see if we come in contact with but ONE mote of pollen projected by Poison Ivy, we will forever be in her control.

Zounds, what chance do we have against a power like that?

Elementary dear, Robin, for you see I have devised a sure fire remedy against her nefarious pollination: we must, quite simply, wear our galoshes!

That's right Batman, I remember my health class lessons now: ALWAYS wear protection!

Well at least that's the dialogue that would have taken place if Adam West & Burt Ward joined us today as the remarkably amazing Lindsey mesmerized us in her fantastic Poison Ivy costume!Next  Sunday is Carmella as the Hero of Time: LINK from The Legend of Zelda!

The Greatest Show on Earth !

Come one, come all to our drawing space
to witness a creature full of power and grace.

Our appetite for drawing she would appease
even without the use of her trapeze.

Amazed were we all by her poise and the gait
and deltoids in flexion did rather elate,

our anatomy skills were put to the test
as gestures displayed were some of the best.

In course of the session ‘twas agreed by our group
that the tip of the nose was known as the “boop”

Working with her gave our spirits a lift
Camille was her name, her surname is Swift!
