Three Jays . . .

Joe. June. Jack. Interesting. . . .We learned June like to buy unnecessary metal drinking containers. We also learned that Jack is secretly Popeye. We learned that Joe subconsciously rocks out to Mumford & Sons. Thanks to Megan for covering for Krista.

Rasing the bar

Oh, oh, all our models are in trouble! You can blame Ken for holding his pose a whole 45 min between breaks! I kid, really, but seriously for the artist that extra 15-20 min make a HUGE difference, because it always takes a little bit of time to get into a groove when you are drawing or painting and the longer you are in the zone the better the results. Hats off the Andy for painting for the first time and doing a great job while at it!

Great Caesar's Ghost, Clark Kent IS Superman!

Yes it's true, apparently a simple costume change of glasses makes one completely unrecognizable! What a fun filled evening of Wheel of Justice spinning, arguing over the merits of gun manufacturer liabilities, and just passing the 20th of April with lots of regulars, semi-regulars and a whole slew of new guild members (Sydney, Mitch, Brooke, Christopher, Donna, Domenique & Stella!) at the Blick in Schaumburg. Krista was way trippy cool in her get up, but we were unfortunately devoid of appropriate accoutrements to accompany her attire. Oh well, save some for another time. . . and space.

Suicide Squad!

Okay, so like I don't want to get into a whole diatribe on how Warner and Zach Snyder are totally destroying the entire DC Universe and Warner is so STUPID for not tapping their in house talent: aka Paul Dini, Bruce Timm, Andrea Romano, etc.(I mean the Killing Joke is coming out fer Pete's Sake!) However I am intrigued with how they are presenting the forthcoming Suicide Squad. The first trailer was absolutely brilliant in its use and editing of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody". This second trailer though, utilized "Ballroom Blitz" in a similar fashion and for a minute I was like all: "What? This is the soundtrack to Wayne's World." It makes me wonder if it is intentional or just coincidence. THAT being said we were uber thrilled to give Kayla her figure drawing modeling debut as the awesome SS version of Harley Quinn! Too bad sooooooo many people missed it (stupid nice weather), especially since it will be our last Super Hero Saturday until after our workshops are finished!
