The Sound and the Fury

Faulkner was great, but Salinger was probably better. Consensus last night was that Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan is CLEARLY the best Trek of all time. Beloved by so many, Nicholas Meyer's Directors Cut will be released theatrically in September! Everyone's favorite line in that movie is Spock's "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." So poignant and true. After seeing Dunkirk which is the best war movie since All Quiet on The Western Front we also picked our top war movies. Other topics included awesome sci fi concepts such as Alien which had by far the best tag line: In Space no one can hear you scream. We also discussed incredible actors of which SIR Anthony Hopkins is at the top of the list, especially his portrayal of the insane madman Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs. Also on the list were Martin Scorsese's best films which include Raging Bull, Goodfellas, The Departed and Silence. Fun times!
