The back's the thing. . .



We welcomed two new members, Lauren & Vickie with a two week back pose of Rene. Everybody pulled off incredible work! Looking forward to this Super Hero Sunday with Dalawn as "Django Unchained" followed by a new 2 session nude figure pose starting on Thursday, July 3rd with Dan.



Super Hero Sunday "Broken Titania"

Rene was literally FANTASTIC as she channeled a mad version of Titania the Faerie Queen. I felt a pick Puckish at the end of it all! Great time with no hallucinogenics needed to imagine the Shakespearian forests she would lord over. We finish the 2 week long pose figure with Rene this Thursday the 26^th and Super Hero Sunday next week June 29^th sees Dalawn as Django Unchained!!! Come draw his Righteous Anger and Furious Vengeance!  

Rodin's Thinker

Jerry was contemplating the true nature of life, the universe and everything (including the jury selection process) as he posed for 2 Thursdays as "Rodin's Thinker" (a pose he held for us 4 years ago.) We are off for Father's Day and will have Rene start a 2 week figure pose on Thursday June 19 as well as "Broken Titania" for Super Hero Sunday June 22.

Super Hero Sunday "Doc Brown"

GREAT SCOTT! Jerry today took us "Back to the Future" from tomorrow to yesterday and back again by channeling Doc Brown. Though we had no true Flux Capacitor our '80's soundtrack transported us all to a younger time all without needing to generate 1.21 gigawatts! This Thursday Jerry is finishing up his 2 night stint as "Rodin's Thinker" and then we break on June 15th for Pappy's Day. Rene will start a 2 night figure on Thursday June 19 and Super Hero Sunday returns June 22 with "Broken Titania - Fairy Queen"

Crusin' and Drawin'

Paupers Art Guild was at the Crusin' Park Ridge event painting and drawing some of the most beautiful classic cars around. Over 250 different cars were there, with a great crowd and fantastic weather to boot!

Super Hero Sunday "Gogo Yubari"

Janet was PERFECT today as Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill. The pose was so much fun: she got to play with swords, taught us something new about the Latin word for sheath and that less than three means heart for the young'uns. We even got to taunt Brian a second time! (sadly though we lost a gold button)

This Thursday June 5th is Jerry as Rodin's Thinker and next Sunday we go Back to the Future with "Doc Brown." Also, Paupers will be at the Crusin' Park Ridge car event this Friday June 6th drawing cool cars. It'll be at the Park Ridge Library parking lot from 5-10 pm. 20 S. Prospect, Park Ridge, Illinois. The following night, Saturday, June 7th at 7pm will be our first Partner Portrait Painting event. Reserve a spot on our meetup page. Come git yer art on!
