Stand and Deliver

That's exactly what Krista did last night, and we thank her immensely for it. Standing poses are very difficult for models to do long pose but when they pull it off it is a great drawing experience because you are actually seeing muscle groups in tension that you usually don't see and that affects the entire anatomy. That being said when the model has scapula and knee worthy of epic viking poems and martial arts you learn NOT to mess with her by mocking her entire generation. . .or Joe for that matter, the man will cut you just to see you bleed!

Did you know that EVERY SINGLE TIME Bill has been booked to work with us, it has rained? We joked about it the 3rd time it happened, but 6 times in, its just silly! If it does indeed rain next week as well, we will start booking him for drawing sessions in drought stricken areas. Tonight we learned not to trust your travel agent when he claims to have put you in a hotel "in the City." Godspeed Ricardo!

Yul Brynner would be proud of Ralph channeling Ramses yesterday during drawing session. In fact, it has given us an idea of doing all his major characters, from King & I to Westworld and everything in between!
Our next Super Hero Saturday (May 23) will star the beautiful Melissa as the ass-kicking amazon; one third of DC's holy trinity; the Lasso of Truth wielding, Invisible Jet Flying, Princess of Themyscira: WONDER WOMAN! You do NOT want to miss this one!

 

 

A storm is brewin. . .

We welcomed new guild member Tony for one of the most absurdly crude yet hysterical evenings we have had in a long time. Those in charge have been sacked. Thanks again to Ariel for a great modeling job!

In addition to that little fact that was made manifest when Savages "Silence Yourself" was playing, we also learned that Whiplash was all wrong from a Jazz Musician's perspective, that Muriel wants to look happy, but not TOO happy, and that Sam's mustache (from far away) makes him a bit dastardly! Oh yeah, Ariel was great too!
